BAM discovers new worlds with Nintendo’s “Animal Crossing: New Leaf”!

BAM Studios worked with Leo Burnett-Chicago to sound design and mix the latest Nintendo campaign. The spots promoting the new Animal Crossing New Leaf game were created for both TV and cinema release and mixed in stereo and surround sound. BAM’s Dave Leffel sound designed and mixed the project as well as recorded actor Brandon Ruiter for the VO.

BAM’s Pepsi projects win Bronze Telly Awards!

BAM Studios is proud to announce that four of our Pepsi projects have been awarded Bronze Telly Awards! The four Health and Wellness Pepsi videos were produced by Bob Maraist of Fulcrum Films while BAM’s Dave Leffel worked on complete audio production.

Actress Anna Chlumsky records at BAM for “VEEP”!

Actress Anna Chlumsky came into BAM Studios to record ADR for HBO’s critically acclaimed series “VEEP”. The native Chicagoan was recorded by BAM’s Brian Reed and Matt Sauro for her role as chief of staff to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Selina Meyer. Anna is the second “VEEP” actor to stop by BAM, following Dave Pasquesi’s guest role on the series. She came in to record for the season finale, which airs June 23rd! Luckily, the series was recently renewed for a third season so she’ll be back on our screens in no time!

BAM records for “Cheers” video game!

BAM Studios teamed up with WMS Gaming to work on their CHEERS video slot game. Actor John Ratzenberger, who played Cliff Clavin on the popular series, worked with BAM’s Dave Leffel and Matt Sauro via ISDN to record VO for the game. DiGiorno Pizzeria gets “Skeptical” at BAM!

BAM Studios worked with DraftFCB on DiGiorno Pizzeria’s latest “Skeptical” TV spots. The sound design intensive spots were designed, recorded, and mixed with BAM’s Dave Leffel at the helm. The new pizza has a custom-made sauce, crust and toppings that will convert “even the most skeptical frozen pizza consumers into instant believers” (and that includes everyone here at BAM!).

Actor Ian Barford records at BAM for “Shreveport” film!

Actor Ian Barford came in to BAM Studios to record ADR for the feature film, “Shrevevport”. The film, directed by and starring Ryan Philippe, tells the story of a fading movie star who’s kidnapped while shooting a film in the titular Louisiana city. Barford, who frequents Chicago for theatre work, was recorded by BAM’s Dave Leffel and Philip von During for his role on the upcoming film.

“Crisis” at BAM!

Chicago has landed itself another pilot this upcoming season with NBC’s “Crisis”! Actors Rammel Chan, Adam Miller, Brandon Ruite, and Rebecca Spence came in to BAM to record ADR with Dave Leffel, Philip von During, and Matt Sauro for the pilot episode. The drama is being written and executive produced by Rand Ravich (The Astronaut’s Wife, the former NBC series “LIFE”) and stars Dermot Mulroney and Gillian Anderson.

“Chicago Fire” Spinoff “Chicago PD” gets picked up!

“Chicago Fire” fans get another round of good news because not only has the show been renewed, but its spinoff pilot, “Chicago PD”, has gotten a green light from NBC! The show will star “Chicago Fire”‘s Jason Beghe as Sergeant Voight and Jon Seda as Detective Antonio Dawson, while other main characters, played by Scott Eastwood and Melissa Sagemiller, will be introduced in the upcoming season finale of “Chicago Fire”.
