Teamworks Media called on BAM’s team to mix the ESPN documentary “Goose” premiering February 26 during the Oscars. The hour long special “Goose” chronicles the life of Reece “Goose” Tatum, arguably one of the most influential athletes of all time, and one of the greatest sports stories never told. The program is interspersed with interviews from luminaries including Basketball Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Dr. J, Wayne Embry, Walt Bellamy, Dr. Jack Ramsay, former owner of the Harlem Globetrotters Mannie Jackson, comedian Bill Cosby, Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and Mr. Cub Ernie Banks, and former Globetrotter Marques Haynes. This is one story you won’t want to miss! The doc was narrated by Anthony Mackie, Directed by Kevin Shaw, Produced by Mike Sear and Matt Engel; Music Composed by Om’Mas Keith; Edited by Meej Adad and Mike Buhrow.

Person of Interest at BAM Studios!

Actor Jonno Roberts of the CBS drama “Person of Interest” heard that no Chicago experience is complete without a visit to BAM Studios. And since Roberts is calling the windy city home for a few months while appearing in The Goodman’s “Camino Real”, he stopped by BAM last week for an ADR session with engineer Brian Reed and Philip von During. BAM engineers Brian Reed and Philip von During were happy to see their young friend Ethan Cutkosky back at BAM for a “Shameless” Season II ADR session. 11 year old Ethan, who lives in Chicago, plays Carl Gallagher on the Showtime Series which also stars William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, and Chicago’s own Joan Cusack. Set in the Chicagoland area, Shameless follows the outrageous lives of the Gallagher family. Watch all-new episodes on Sunday nights at 9PM ET/PT.

Both Coke and Pepsi are having their audio produced this week at BAM Studios with Audio Engineer/Mixers Dave Leffel and Matt Sauro. Radio spots for Coke and videos for Pepsi for our wonderful clients Commonground and Fulcrum Films. Both projects are being Voice Recorded, Sound Designed, Mixed and Mastered by the BAM duo. Dave said “I’ve had a sugar buzz all week!” He’s back to water real soon! All kinds of Coke and Pepsi products are in BAM’s refrigerator too. Stop by for a refreshing sample!

BAM Studios and Teamworks Media collaborate for “The Street Stops Here” documentary.

BAM’s Brian Reed joined forces with Teamworks Media for a re-edit and mix of ESPN’s documentary “The Street Stops Here”. Teamworks intimate portrait of high school basketball coach Bob Hurley, Sr. is an inspiring tale of a man who dedicated his career to inspiring and motivating others in order to keep the doors of inner-city St Anthony’s High School open. “The Street Stops Here” is part of the effort to bring exposure to the financially struggling school, and BAM Studios is proud to be involved. The project was mixed in 5.1 surround and Dolby Pro Logic II. Edited by Meej Adad and Mike Buhrow. Air date TBD.
