Chicago’s own culinary genius Graham Elliot was at BAM to record his voice for Fox’s latest reality show “Masterchef”.  The new TV series, starring legendary chef Gordon Ramsay, takes amateur chefs, many of whom simply cook as a hobby, and attempt to turn one of them into a culinary master.  Contestants on Masterchef will be put through the paces with various challenges as they compete head-to-head to create delicious dishes.

Graham Elliot is the culinary mastermind behind Chicago’s first “bistronomic” restaurant, Graham Elliot, which tempers four-star cuisine with humor and accessibility.  In a very short time, the 33-year-old chef has accrued accolades, including Best New Chef in 2004 from Food & Wine magazine and three James Beard Nominations.  At age 27, Bowles was the youngest four-star chef in America.  Graham is also opening up a sandwich shop called Grahamwich this summer just outside the windows of BAM.  As the name implies, the menu will be based around a half dozen or so sandwich creations, with homemade sodas and “seasonal soft-serves” offered as well.

Masterchef premieres Tuesday, July 27 on Fox.  For more info visit: http://www.fox.com/masterchef
