BAM had a blast doing mixing and sound design for the new comedic short film “The After Party”! Produced by Alright Already Films, “The After Party” is an 8-minute short depicting an awkward day in the life of a suburban man and his wife. “The After Party” was written, directed by, and stars Sue Gillan, a local actress and creative director best known for her work as a performer at Second City Chicago. Sue called on production talents from all over Chicago to assist in the film, which co-stars actor Dave Pasquesi in the role of her anxious husband. “The After Party” was produced by Mallory Sohmer, and was edited by Kevin McGurn of local production house 200 Stories Tall. BAM’s Matt Sauro handled the sound design and mixing for the project. Sauro said that because of the tremendous comedic talent found in all aspects of the production “the film basically takes care of itself,” and that he can’t wait to see the finished product. Currently being submitted to festivals nationwide, “The After Party” will premiere later this year.
